July 2012 - Lee Highway Undergrounding Completion Punch List
The following represents the first half of the CCA’s Lee Highway punch list. The photos and notes (below) were amassed during a walking tour initiated and led by Maureen Ross, President of the Cherrydale Citizens Association, on July 31, 2012. The tour started at the I-66 overpass on Lee Highway, traveled up the south side of Lee Hwy to the 5 pts intersection at Military Rd, then down Lee Hwy on the north side of the street to the I-66 overpass.
This tour was conducted with County Design Engineering Supervisor Robert Froh, County utility engineer Abe Abibizadeh, Fred Parry, Sr. Manager, Transmission and Distribution Projects at Dominion Virginia Power. Coming an hour late was Gustavo Castellon, Construction Coordinator for Comcast. Also late was Doug Passley, Ground Line Manager, Dominion Power. Michael Collins (Chief Engineer and responsible for the utility undergrounding project) was unable to attend. Verizon was a no-show. Tom Korns from Cherrydale attended. Tour was led by Maureen Ross, President, Cherrydale Citizens Association.
