About
The Cherrydale Citizens Association is the second oldest civic association in Arlington County. Founded between 1900 and 1910, the CCA has fought over the years for speed limits, traffic safety, public health, schools, beautification, the preservation of the Cherrydale Library, and Cherrydale itself. Over the decades, the CCA has sponsored parades, dinners, dances, fundraisers, holiday parties, park clean-ups, and variety shows. The CCA supports the Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department, and Cherrydale Businesses.
Today, the CCA selects Neighborhood Conservation Projects, such as the sidewalks and street lights on Stafford St., 18th St., Randolph St., Kenmore St., and 20th St., and park improvements at Oak Grove Park. The CCA is still working to preserve and promote the Cherrydale Library and improvements at the Five Points Intersection of Lee Hwy, Old Dominion Dr., Quincy St., and Military Rd. The CCA loves community building events like the Spaghetti Fundraiser Dinner, Cherrydale Yard Sales, the CCA Fourth of July Party, and the Cherrydale Parade.
The CCA meets at 7:30 pm of the third Wednesday of January, March, May, September, October, and November on the second floor of the Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department, 3900 Lee Highway. Join the CCA today!
