Safer Crosswalks for Lee Hwy in Cherrydale
Arlington County so far has refused to put a crosswalk where apparently people in wheelchairs prefer it - at Oakland St southeast side crossing Lee Hwy to the Northeast side at the end of Safeway. Both corners have w/chair ramps. This the site last year where a w/chair bound neighbor was struck while crossing. And the site the speaker was crossing, hence the interview. We support placing crosswalks where walkers want them and use them, like here.
