Sidewalk Blockages - Utility Construction

This is the pole on N Lincoln St nearest Lee hwy, Cherrydale-side.  We were told this phone pole was coming down as part of the Lee Hwy undergrounding and that is why County installed the NEW 2nd phone pole up the street, in the middle of the sidewalk, making it an impassable walk for bikes, strollers and wheelchairs.  This pole nearest Lee Hwy had a hundred pound wrap of cable wire leaning against it for 10 years, as part of the long delayed undergrounding of Lee Hwy.

Now  the County has allowed a utility boot to be attached to the pole , diagonally nearer to the sidewalk, further narrowing an already ALMOST impassable path – so that in deed, probably we now have another stroller/wheelchair barrier.

And EVEN if that pole near Lee is intended to come down in 2 years,(we were told it would) there is no excuse to further ruin the sidwalk this way.
