April 2012 - Meeting About Lincoln Street Sidewalk Obstructions
1. Lincoln St Pole, first by Lee hwy - latest photos March 2012
2. Lincoln ST pole w utility wire pulling sidewalk up - after all the work this spring on this pole, they failed to correct this problem
3. Lost opportunity- County could have obtained permission to curve sidewalk around the pole into Mason Temple landscaping area, to ease access. During this time County was already on their property digging into parking area.
4. The was the "temporary" mess left for about 3-4 months final addition of extra utility boots for undergrounding.
5. The final product of undergrounding Lee hwy, and the closest utility pole on Lincoln st - path here is narrowed to 25 inches. Missed opportunity to curve walk into the landscaping area. County added utility boot which has narrowed the path even further than before, and a block of wood covers a hole where ANOTHER utility boot will go. And a cord is left tied around the pole and along the sidewalk - a trip hazard. Sloppy work.
6. self-explanatory - County has known about this problem for 10 years in the planning of the Lee Hwy undergrounding. County chose not to move this pole, and realign it so the NEW pole 30 feet up would not block sidewalk. County chose to make this sidewalk impassable for parents w strollers, and any wheelchair bound neighbors.
7. It took 8 years, 2 tours and numerous phone calls just to get this cable tied UP to the pole rather than lay on walk blocking path.
8. The NEW pole on Lincoln St 30 ft up from the other one closest to Lee hwy.
9. 2010 - Cherrydale neighbor finds walk impassable and this is BEFORE the addition of yet another utility boot narrowing path further.
10. 2010
11. NEW pole, 2nd up from Lee hwy on Lincoln St - not only is pole places in middle of sidewalk but in addition the utility boots further narrow the path. CCA protested placement of pole like this for 6 years prior to final placement. We were told this was a sidewalk going NO WHERE anyway.

12. New phone pole, distant view.
13. New Pole - county engineers first thought this might be a good result. We had this removed and concrete place. However this bush is much like the tall weeds that occupied the 3x8 ft hole in sidewalk from 2001 to 2007 when new pole was placed here.
14. Same site - for a while County thought the mulch look would work.
