Sweet & Sour News Advertising Rates
The Cherrydale Citizens Association publishes the Sweet & Sour News every other month -- six times per year. This newsletter is hand-delivered to almost 1500 households and over seventy businesses in Cherrydale. Year 2000 Census figures show Cherrydale's 1309 households with 3283 residents. Further demographic details are on the linked page from the Arlington County web site. Since the 2000 Census, Cherrydale has grown, including the 74 apartments at Hunter's Park at Cherrydale, and the 24 townhouses and (soon) 22 condo apartments at The Bromptons of Cherrydale.
The Cherrydale Citizens Association sells advertising in the Sweet & Sour News, with ads ranging from business card size (1/8 page) to a full page. All ads are run in black & white, and we cannot guarantee a particular location within the newsletter for any ad. Sweet & Sour News has no facilities for ad composition and preparation.
Due to the tremendous support of our current advertisers, and our space and time limitations for Sweet & Sour News, we are limited in the number and size of new ads we can accept. First priority for new advertisers will be given to current business members of the Cherrydale Citizens Association.
For repeat ads, there will be a one-time charge of $10 for each change in ad copy from one issue to the next.
For all ads, there will be a one-time charge of $10 for scanning in ad copy.
There is no extra charge for advertiser-provided electronic copy in .doc, .jpg, .pdf, .tif or other usable format.
If the advertiser requests ad preparation or composition work from Sweet & Sour News, we may charge for such work at an hourly rate with a minimum charge of $50.

Sweet & Sour News usually comes out the first or second weekend of every odd-numbered month (January, March, May, July, September, November), with deadline for content (including ads) the third Friday of the previous month.

Joint Advertising with Maywood
The Maywood News publishes four times per year, serving the Maywood neighborhood which is north and east of Cherrydale, between Lee Highway on the south, I-66 on the east, Lorcom Lane on the north, and Cherrydale on the west. Maywood News publishes in February, May, September, and December. Maywood's demographic details are on this linked page from the Arlington County web site.
Maywood News and Sweet & Sour News are now cooperating on ad sales. Maywood News only accepts ads of 1/4 page or 1/8 page.
Maywood News has facilities for ad composition and preparation.
