Welcome New Volunteers

We welcome a number of new volunteers!

We have a new Editor for the Sweet and Sour News. Jim Shear recently moved to Cherrydale and looks forward to becoming active in the community. He lives on Monroe St. and is eager to work with Jim and Kyra on the newletter.

Laurel Gowan, a native Cherrydaler, has lived on 18th St for the past 14 years. She will be the new Business and Ads liaison for SSN. She will be working with our webmaster, Bill Shaffer, to update our business list. If you know of a Cherrydale Business not listed, please contact Laurel.

We have a new Welcome Wagon volunteer, Janet Herrmann who lives on Taylor St.  Our Welcome Letter and information packet has been updated by Maureen and Janet. We are thrilled to revive this friendly tradition. If you know or meet any new neighbors, owners or renters, please let Janet know at welcomewagon@cherrydale.net.

Additionally, Marcela Souaya, of Vacation Lane, has volunteered as one of our Civic Federation delegates. She'll keep up advised on whether anything hot is going on and whether we need to show up for a vote. And Corrin Chambers, from Restoration Anglican Church is organizating this year's free sapling distribution for the County. It looks like at least 20 trees will be planted by Cherrydale!

Finally, we have another Eagle Scot project coming up for Cherry Valley Park. Jack Beckman is working with the Cherrydale Citizens Parks Committee and Patrick Wegeng from the County.

Thanks to all of you! We appreciate your service.
